Infrastructure & Software Engineer (Junior)
You will join the Converso technical team to design and maintain the platforms that make multilingual events possible around the world every day. You will work on real-time web apps, streaming systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure — all with a direct impact on what our clients see and use.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain our web apps (Vue/Nuxt, Node.js)
- Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure and work environments (Firebase, GCP, AWS, Docker, Linux)
- Configure and monitor audio/video streaming systems
- Write APIs and integrations with external services
- Automate deployment, CI/CD, and monitoring
- Collaborate directly with the operations team during live events
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
- Familiarity with Linux and the command line
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, HTTP, WebSocket)
- Some experience with Git and version control
- Ability to solve problems independently and find solutions
- Sufficient technical English
Nice to have
- Experience with Vue.js or modern frontend frameworks
- Knowledge of Docker and containerisation
- Experience with cloud services (Firebase, GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Interest in streaming, realtime or networking (OBS, SRT, WebRTC, VPN, DNS, proxy)
- Open source contributions or personal projects on GitHub
