Live Captioning

Every word, in real time, on any screen.

Converso®'s live captioning transcribes and distributes speech in real time during events, conferences and training sessions — no dedicated hardware, no app to install, no logistics.

How it works

Our AI engine receives audio from the speaker's microphone and generates subtitles in editorial mode: the text is cleaned in real time, removing fillers, repetitions and false starts. The result is a fluid, immediately readable text — not a raw transcript, but a true subtitle.

Teleprompter

A web page you open on any monitor, projector or screen already in the venue. No additional hardware.

Converso WebApp

Attendees read subtitles on their own smartphone, no app to download. Just scan a QR code.

Real-Time Subtitles

The webapp and control room can display real-time subtitles in addition to audio. Useful for those who can't use headphones, for the deaf and hard of hearing, or for those who prefer reading in a foreign language.

Who it's for

Cultural venues and theatres

Structural accessibility for the public programme, with no impact on venue production.

Conventions and conferences

Comprehension support for speakers with accents, technical content or international audiences.

Corporate events

Subtitles on monitors in plenary sessions, without modifying the existing AV setup.

Public administration and institutions

Compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and international standards for event accessibility.

Trade fairs and hybrid events

Live subtitles integrated into streaming or on screens in open spaces.

Accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing

Our editorial approach — unlike pure verbatim — produces more readable, immediately usable text, suitable for both hearing audiences and deaf or hard-of-hearing people who rely entirely on subtitles.

For events with advanced accessibility requirements, live captioning is naturally complemented by on-site sign language interpretation.

Automatic language recognition and multilingual output

The engine recognises the spoken language in real time and automatically transcribes or translates it into the output channel selected by the viewer — no manual intervention, no configuration for each speaker change.

Real-world example

International conference with speakers of different nationalities. The organiser sets the Teleprompter to Italian: Italian subtitles appear on the venue's LED walls, whatever is said on stage. At the same time, each attendee accesses the WebApp and chooses their own language — English, French, or any other available language.

International conferences with speakers of different nationalities

Multilingual panels and round tables where the language changes from speaker to speaker

Institutional events with speeches in the original language and mixed audiences

Cultural venues hosting foreign guests without imposing a common language on stage

Context Training: the system speaks your event's language

Every organisation has its own language. Converso®'s context training trains the system on the event-specific vocabulary before the session begins.

Glossaries and terminology

Product names, acronyms, registered trademarks, industry terminology: the system acquires them and treats them as primary reference in transcription.

Documents and materials

Presentations, scripts, agendas, press releases: any text that anticipates the event content is automatically integrated into the active model.

Precision where it matters

In professional settings, getting a product name or an institutional guest's name wrong is a real problem. Context training addresses exactly these critical points.

A profile that grows

For recurring clients, the terminology profile is preserved and updated with every new project. The more Converso® works with you, the more it speaks like you.

Technical integration

Two audio acquisition methods, both requiring no software to install at the venue.

Web interface

Audio acquisition via Floor-In WebRTC — a link to open in the browser, no additional cables and no software to install.

Converso RSI Bridge

Our dedicated audio acquisition hardware: available on-site, remotely or in hybrid mode. Fully manageable by our team from a distance.

A managed service, not a self-service platform

Every event has a dedicated Converso® technician who configures the system, monitors the streams in real time from our Control Room in Milan and intervenes in case of anomalies. We don't leave quality to chance.
