Context Training
What it is, what it isn't, what we need
The AI engine translates live what the speakers say in the room, as they say it. It does not work from a prepared text and it does not need the script of the talks.
What we do
Before the event we load the event's vocabulary into the engine: speaker names, companies, places, acronyms, technical terms, and for each of them the correct rendering in the target languages.
It is the preparation an interpreter does before stepping into the booth: they don't memorise the speeches, they study the names and the terms they will hear.
What it isn't
It is not a translation made in advance
Nothing is pre-translated or pre-recorded.
The AI does not read out a text
It listens to the speaker and translates in real time.
We don't need to know what the speakers will say
If they improvise or change course, the translation follows them.
It is not a condition for the service
Without materials the engine works with its general vocabulary. Context Training improves names and specialist terms.
Why it matters: three examples
“see you at the Fortezza da Basso”
Without Context Training
the name of the venue risks being translated word for word
With Context Training
it stays “Fortezza da Basso”
“over to you, dottor Leone”
Without Context Training
the surname can become “Doctor Lion”
With Context Training
“Doctor Leone”
“the PNRR funds”
Without Context Training
the acronym can be garbled or missed
With Context Training
correct acronym, or expanded: “the National Recovery and Resilience Plan”
What we need
Even part of it is enough.
- the programme, with speaker names and talk titles
- names of companies, brands, products and places that will be mentioned
- acronyms and abbreviations, with their meaning
- slides, abstracts or a glossary, if they exist
Up to 24 hours before the event
Any format works: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, even a list in an email.
In short: we need the difficult words, not the speeches.
Event coming up?
Send us whatever you have, even just the programme. We'll take care of the rest.
